Christian Clear has just started a physics PhD after working for a number of years in industry. We talk about how his prior experience impacts his work ethic, and what it’s like to be effectively self-employed.

I can see it working ... it’s not just graphs!

Christian’s experimental work involves generating argon plasmas (as seen in the image). He then examines the light produced by different elements inside this plasma to characterise their fundamental behaviour.
